My Imperfect Weekend

Ok, on Saturday, my sister and I was going to Hallie’s Rugby Charity Event. I was really looking forward to it, since I would be able to see my friends again. But that day turned out to be the most messed up night of my life.

First, I found out that the location was not where I thought it’d be held. It’s really my fault for assuming, so I can only blame myself. However, after that, everything went downhill. Me and my sister, due to being not used to KL, got lost for TWO freaking hours. The GPS was no help, stupid piece of junk. It was a freaking scary experience to be lost in KL at night. I wanted to cry, that’s how bad it was.

Also, to add to that, my dad was screaming at me over the phone to give instructions while my sister was pissed off about being lost and dad’s constant interruption. As a proof that she was pissed off, she actually grabbed my phone out of my clutches, shut it and threw to the backseat. Bluntly put, I have idiots with freaking anger issues as my family members, not that I’m any better from them. It was SO FREAKING messed up that we ended up not going to the party.

I can honestly say that I have never had a day as messed up and fucked up as that day, not even my parents’ break up can top that. Hopefully, that day will forever remain as my most messed up day for my life, because I would never want to go through a day worse than that day ever again.

It really is a pity that I didn’t get to go to the party. We were so dressed up for it, I was so cool and good looking. There goes the cute foreigners that I could have met. Goodbye, good looking guys! I didn’t even have a chance to meet you! Also, congratulations to Hallie for winning the most dedicated award, you really deserve it. I’m so proud.

Anyway, back to my depressing weekend, since apparently one bad day is not enough. My one and only hamster, Choco Wong Chairo, passed away on Sunday evening. The cause of death should be respiratory infection. The symptoms are similar, so we’re guessing it is. Goodbye, Chairo… You’re the smartest hamster I ever had.

No pictures this post. Too riled up at the mention of horrible weekend to bother.

The Trip Of Tradition

Being a Chinese, there are many traditions to follow (just like every other races) and now is the time for ‘cheng beng’. The tradition of visiting your ancestors’ grave.

In fact, I just came back from it not too long ago. The sun was crazy HOT and my calves that was exposed in the sun was burning, minus the fire and me running around screaming, FIRE!

Anyway, I’ve been here for one and a half day. Nothing to do now, so I’m blogging. Going to balik KL soon. Got to go now.

But before I leave, here’s my favourite desert, the hard to find in KL, the AIS KACANG, that I must eat every time when I’m in Ipoh.

This is from the night stall in the stadium. Had it last night.

The day stall one is way better. Just had it after 'cheng beng', so good after a hot, tiring day.

Hamsters Update

Potato

Now that I’ve moved, I’ve finally been able to confirm if Potato have either passed away or ran away.

It was approximately a week ago, when I went home and found that Potato managed to escape from our glass cage. We’re not too sure when she managed to ran away and how long she’s been out. But trying to be optimistic about things, I set out food traps, hoping to lure her in and I got nothing.

And now that I’ve moved out of the house and found no dead hamster body, I’m confirm that she managed to ran away from the house, probably when my dad was going to work. He leaves the front door open for some time before actually leaving the place.

I hope Potato, wherever you are, you will be fine, alive and kicking. And maybe, just maybe, you’re already in Ipoh (according to her speed).

These are photos of her, baby photos. I can’t find any grown up photos of her. I’ve got too many hamster photos already.

Chairo

It’s a girl. Yes, even though we thought that it was a boy, she turns out to be a girl.

But we (read:sister) found out the hard way that she loves biting people. She’s also most probably, the smartest hamster we have so far and the only hamster that didn’t get influenced by us and didn’t change her sleeping schedule. She’s also probably the craziest sleeping hamster we have. She seems to enjoy sleeping with her head on the floor, like she needs a pillow.

Isn’t she just adorable?

The Big Move

After months of planning and procrastinating, we finally moved. Yup, we did. And that’s all I’m going to say.

I’m not going to write about how tiring, pissed off-ing and frustrating the whole process was. I’m not even going to mention how unfair it is that just because my dad is working and my sister is having her internship, that I have to pack and unpack the entire house, mostly by myself. Nope, I’m not going to bore you with details on how I’m going to make them pay for making me do everything.

But I’m definitely missing Subang. That’s 17 years of my life that I spend there, my entire life up till now. And I also miss my friends. We defitniely MUST go out together and 'yam cha'.
