My Interesting Weekend

During the weekend, I attended the Baha'i Regional Conference Kuala Lumpur. I have not been very active in Baha’i activities for years. So, it was a little weird for me. I mean, I love the Baha’i faith. It’s just that I’ve been so out of touch with the activities and the people involved. But I found it amazing when I was at the conference and there were around three thousand people present. There were even people from different states from all around Malaysia and different countries.

In my opinion, the best part of the whole conference was the cultural night, on the first day of the conference. The performance was so interesting and fun to watch. I absolutely love the Korean’s performance. They are so cute!! I just want to hug them. Also, I found the dikir barat performance very cool. Overall, the performances for that night were amazing. I even clapped my hands till it was itchy. That is just to show how much I enjoyed it.

Also, when I was there, I managed to meet up with Charmaine, whom I have never met for years since she went overseas around 11 or something. We’ve been meaning to meet up after she came back around October-November but I had SPM and things got in the way after that. It’s a pity we didn’t get to chat during the conference. Throughout the two days conference, we only managed to give each other a hug and simple greetings like, “Hi” and “Bye”. So sad!! We definitely have to meet up some other time and properly talk to each other.

Though I did meet up with another childhood friend, Sheida, we’ve never seen each other for years. I seem to not see a number of people for years. Anyway, we only met up on the second day and we chatted till our heart’s content. There was so much to catch up on, like school, life, weird experiences, pets, etc. We also found out that we are quite similar in many aspects. A little freaky but cool.

Besides that, I met quite a number of friends who I’ve never seen in a long time. I also got to keep in touch a little with my religious side. The whole thing was definitely a good experience.
