As the title says, this is one very, very long post. Now without wasting another second, read on.
New Addition
After the death of my beloved Kichi, Potato (my other hamster) has been alone. It was depressing to see Potato when she finally found out that she would be alone and Kichi was never going to come back. We separated them when Kichi fell ill. So, when we got back home and placed Potato in the glass cage that she and Kichi stayed in, she realise that Kichi was not going to come back like she expected.
Potato turned a bit (a lot) paranoid and lonely. But I can’t blame her, Kichi’s been taking care over her since she was a tiny, teeny hamster. So, it’s only natural for her to act that way. Figuring that she can’t possibly live that way till she dies, which is still a long, long way to go, we decided that we should get her a buddy/friend.
And that’s how we got our new addition to the family, Choco Wong Chairo. We presume it’s a boy but we’re not too sure. We need to wait longer to confirm the gender. When we went to the pet store, Chairo was the only hamster left, it was sitting in the middle of the big, empty cage. So extremely adorable! I didn’t manage to take a picture though, I was too busy trying to get the person working at the pet shop to get their butt over and give me my hammy.
Also, just yesterday, we finally placed them together, since Chairo previously injured it’s nose. So, we decided to let it heal before placing them together. We did the standard procedure before placing them together, which is rid their home and them of their own smell. This way they won’t get territorial and considering that Potato is slightly bigger in size, she might kill Chairo. They’ve been doing good so far, no fights and they seem to be bonding.
Potato and Chairo are bonding through the only way thy know best. Sleep!
This is Chairo eating food. Isn't it just adorable?
The Fast Has Ended and Now The Eating Begins
After fasting for 19 days, I’m finally allowed to eat and drink whenever I want, wherever I want. I have never been so happy to hear that I could eat breakfast, even though I don’t eat breakfast, which proves my point.
Anyway, this year’s Naw Ruz was good, definitely better than last year’s one. For starters, I got to see Charmaine and the rest. We chatted a bit, catch up on each other’s life. They’re all doing fine, which is a good thing. Feel so out of touch with them. I’m so terrible at keeping in touch with people. *sighs*
Also, this year we brought Chelsea and Rachel along. Chelsea is my sister’s friend while Rachel is my sister’s friend’s sister. My, my, that was a mouthful. They both clearly enjoyed themselves.
The performances that night was good. Uncle Koko, the clown/magician was good. He was very funny, I couldn’t stop laughing. Charmaine and Neerusha even choreographed a hip hop dance, it was rather funny seeing them dance it. Though they were actually not bad at it.
Anyhow, the highlight of the night would be Neeraj and the ending of the night. Neeraj was dancing right in the middle of the hall and everyone was supposed to join in and dance along. But only the younger ones did, like ME! Seriously, who knew that boy can dance so well. I’ve known him all his life but I definitely didn’t know he could dance like that. We all had fun dancing to Mambo No 5, YMCA and few other songs which name I can’t remember.
After the event ended, the party continued at A&W, like tradition. But this year’s crowd was insane! The amount of people there doubled, tripled even. It was so cramped that it took us more or less half an hour just to find a place to sit and forty minutes or so to get food. It was fun in a way. Though I bet the A&W’s profit for that one day must be equivalent to a week or two worth of profit.
This is what I wore to Naw Ruz. I love this coat but I absolutely have to change the buttons.
Liars!
Don’t worry, I’m not talking about you (that is if you’ve lied to me). What I’m talking about is the Anime Fest that was being held in Times Square. Being somewhat like an otaku, where I read manga and watches anime, my sister and I decided to go to the Anime Fest since we’ve never been to one and was curious as to how one is like. And let’s just say “Liars!”.
Hotlink held the event and it was definitely not an Anime Fest. It was more like a promotional event to promote the stupid games they have, which I don’t give a damn about, and decided to call it an Anime Fest, just to get people’s attention. LAME! LIARS!
Also, this is not the only thing I’m calling liars. The other liars I’m referring to would be below in my other section of this post.
Public Transportation, PFFT!!!
Just to go to the stupid Anime “Liar” Fest, I had to take public transportation. And I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it. The system they have is so freaking flawed, specifically the KTM.
Wait, let me explain everything properly first so that you can see my point. I started out sitting the LRT to go to KL Central. The LRT was ok, though it was a little bumpy but I can live with that.
Once I finally reached KL Central, I had to walk to the monorail. I walked there a few times before a year back and it was ok. But that day I had a freaking huge problem, the pasar where I would walk through to get to the monorail was under construction and I had to walk a freaking long way to get there. Being someone with a low stamina, it sucks.
Anyway, after I finally reached the monorail, we got on and again like the LRT, the monorail was somewhat fine. I couldn’t find much fault with these two where I was seriously get pissed off. But hell, did I find A LOT of faults with KTM.
KTM. I have never loathe something as much as it in my life. The system they have is so freaking flawed that the word, KTM should be a term for overly flawed beyond recognition. Seriously, what they do is let you wait like crazy before cramping everyone into that tiny little train. And it’s not that everyone is insane and like to get cramped together, instead it’s because the freaking thing takes so bloody long to get to the stop that people tend to gather to a large amount.
Also, the waiting is pure torture, the given time the train would arrive is plain bullshit. Once the time finally arrives, the train is nowhere to be found. There would be some sort of crap and we have to wait few more minutes. Hence, everyone is sticky from the heat(since Malaysia is a naturally hot country, adding on global warming) and the amount of people just keep increasing.
Finally, when you actually get on the bloody train, everyone is cramped up together, like those canned sardine fishes. But the fishes have it easier. Because unlike the fishes where they are marinated in a nice sauce, everyone in the train is marinated in their own sweat and smell of armpit, feet or if we’re lucky, just plain sweat.
And adding salt to injury, the stupid piece of scrap metal’s air conditioning doesn’t work. It makes noises where it sounds like its working but let’s face the truth, it’s not doing a single damn thing. You must be wondering how I would know that. Simple, I was standing under the stupid thing and all I got was loud, fake working noises and no air.
If I was claustrophobia, I would have died in there. Everyone was breathing each other’s air. My preferred personal space was beyond violated. Everyone was too close for comfort. What’s worse was that I’m naturally hot blooded, where my body temperature is very warm. But once you add on my hot temperature and no air conditioning, even the nice, chilly pole that I was holding on to ensure I don’t fall –not that I would have a space to fall on– was hot after I held it for some time. My own body temperature was killing me. The perfect description to that time would be an extremely unhealthy sauna.
In my opinion, the ‘geniuses’ who made the system should get their lazy butt that is glued to their overly comfortable, air conditioned car and try for once in their life what it is like to take their own product and realise how much it sucks and needs improvement. Hopefully by then, it would get through their thick skull that they need to do something to improve their quality of public transportation or just destroy the damn thing and create a new one instead.
*sighs in content*
I feel much better now after writing out the hatred I have for public transportations. And did you notice that I’m only talking about trains. If this included a bus one, this would take a very, very, very long time for me to be done with it.
Anyway, to my sister who is reading this, I’m amaze you managed to survive all this bullshit for THREE years. You sure are something.
College
I’ve finally decided what I’ll be taking in college and that is International Business. Well, at least that’s my first choice. My second choice is Public Relations. That is if I –touch wood– don’t manage to get into International Business.
I dropped my form at college on Saturday and will be getting news if I made it in by April-May. *crosses finger* I hope I get it.
Chocolate
My uncle and aunty from Australia came back for a visit and they gave me a huge toblerone and I couldn’t resist not taking a picture and posting it.
It's HUGE! Hehe.. More chocholate for me then.
And that concludes my very, very long post.
